FRITCH, TX. (THECOUNT) — Steven Ray of Fritch, Texas, has been identified as the victim in a fatal motorcycle crash Saturday night around 8 p.m. According to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Ray, 46, was traveling at “an unsafe speed for a curve in the roadway,” according to authorities.
Ray was riding a 2003 Harley Davidson when he failed to negotiate the curve, causing the motorcycle to travel off the right side of the road and hit a culvert.
Despite wearing a helmet, Ray was pronounced dead at the scene by Hutchinson County Justice of the Peace Amanda Wysong.
Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
