MUSKOGEE COUNTY, OK. (THECOUNT) — Dr. Jack Janway, 69, 68-year-old Terry Janway, Jack’s wife, and their 11-year-old grandson Dalton Janway, the Muskogee Police Department confirmed.
The couple were the parents of Chandra Johnson, the wife of NASCAR driver Jimmie Johnson.
Police notified Johnson and his wife, Chandra, confirming her parents and her nephew were deceased in an apparent Monday murder-suicide in Muskogee
According to reports, police responded to the Muskogee home after a woman called 911 saying there was a person with a gun before hanging up. When they arrived, officers found Jack Janway, owner of Janway Chiropractic and Acupuncture, laying in a hallway inside the house. At that time, police heard another gunshot from further inside the property.
The officers ordered anyone else in the house to come outside when they heard additional shots from within the home. A search was carried out and the bodies of Terry Janway and Dalton Janway were discovered.
All three were pronounced dead of gunshot injuries.
It is believed Terry Janway shot Jack and Dustin before turning the gun on herself.
