SHELBY COUNTY, TN. (THECOUNT) — Benjamin Cowherd, of Nashville, Tennessee, has been identified as the victim in a Saturday night fatal motorcycle crash in Shelby County.
Ben Cowherd, 35, was killed in a two-vehicle motorcycle crash in Nashville Saturday night. Carlos Rafael Paz, 19, has been identified as the involved driver.
According to reports, Cowherd was operating a Honda VTX motorcycle on Thompson Lane near Nolensville Pike in Nashville, when a Saturn Aura, operated by Paz, performed a left hand turn and came into contact with the bike Saturday night.
Cowherd was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
Paz, of Nashville, was charged with driving without a license and insurance.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
