LOGAN COUNTY, AL. (THECOUNT) — Jackie Jones, of Huntsville, Alabama, has been identified as the victim in a Saturday morning fatal multi-vehicle hit-and-run crash in Logan County.
Jones, 57, was killed in a seven vehicle crash involving a motorcycle in Huntsville on Saturday morning.
According to reports, Jones was operating a motorcycle on Highway 53 near Research Park Blvd NW in Huntsville, when the bike and six other vehicles were involved in a collision around 2 a.m. Saturday.
The driver who is believed to have caused the crash fled the scene and remains on the loose.
Jones was pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries.
Five other individuals were transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
