CARTER COUNTY, OK. (THECOUNT) — Tyler Lindsay, of Ardmore, Oklahoma, has been identified as the victim following a fatal incident at a Carter County lake on Tuesday night.
Lindsay, 27, suffered an unknown medical event before falling into the water while fishing at Lake Murray State Park on Tuesday night.
According to reports, Lindsay was with another man on a Skeeter fishing boat on Lake Murray, when he experienced a medical episode and fell overboard around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
The other man jumped into the water in an unsuccessful attempt to rescue Lindsay.
Officials say Lindsay never resurfaced.
Troopers recovered his body several hours later approximately 30 feet from the shore.
Lindsay was pronounced dead at the scene.
A cause of death was not provided by officials.
The cause of the deadly incident remains under investigation.
