EAST BATON ROUGE PARISH, LA. (THECOUNT) — Nathan Millard, the Covington, Georgia man reported missing while visiting Baton Rouge, Louisiana on February 22, was found dead early Monday morning.
Millard, 42, was last seen near the Courtyard Marriott on 3rd Street and Florida Avenue February 22 around 11:30 p.m.
The Baton Rouge Police Department said the remains of Millard were found around 3:30 a.m. Monday near the 2900 block of Scenic Highway, about three miles from where he was last seen.
A spokesperson for the Texas EquuSearch said his remains were discovered inside a rolled up carpet, covered in plastic.
Texas EquuSearch, a nonprofit dedicated to help finding missing people, offered a reward of up to $10,000 after Milliard went missing.
Police have not provided Milliard’s cause of death.
An autopsy is being conducted.
