BOZOULS, FRANCE. (THECOUNT) — Beloved veteran comedian, Richard Belzer, perhaps best known for his role as detective John Munch on Homicide: Life on the Street and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, has died. He was 78.
Belzer died early Sunday at his home in Bozouls in southwest France, writer Bill Scheft, a longtime friend of the actor, told HR.
“He had lots of health issues, and his last words were, ‘F-you, MF,’” Scheft said.
A cause of death was not provided.
