UFC Fighter Allan Nascimento Dies At 34 Following Medical Emergency

SAO PAULO, BR. (THECOUNT)Allan Nascimento, 34, the Brazilian UFC flyweight known to fans as “Puro Osso,” died Monday after suffering an apparent medical emergency in his sleep, according to an announcement from the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

São Paulo is Brazil’s largest city and the country’s financial and cultural hub. Nascimento trained there with the renowned Chute Boxe academy, one of the world’s most respected mixed martial arts gyms, producing numerous UFC champions and contenders.

The UFC said Nascimento was found unresponsive Monday morning, August 3, after what was described as an apparent heart attack during the night. Despite efforts by first responders, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

“This morning, Monday, August 3rd, our beloved flyweight fighter, Allan Nascimento, was found unresponsive after suffering an apparent heart attack in his sleep,” the promotion said in a statement. “Despite the efforts of the responding medical team, he was pronounced deceased at the scene.”

Known throughout the MMA world by his nickname “Puro Osso,” Nascimento joined the UFC in 2021 after establishing himself as one of Brazil’s top flyweight prospects. A Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt, he built a reputation as a dangerous submission specialist whose grappling skills made him a difficult matchup for opponents.

Throughout his professional career, Nascimento compiled a 22-7 record, including a 4-2 mark inside the UFC Octagon. His final appearance came at a UFC Fight Night event in Las Vegas on June 20, just weeks before his unexpected death.

Nascimento trained alongside former UFC lightweight champion Charles Oliveira at Chute Boxe in São Paulo, where he was widely respected for his technical ability, discipline, and dedication to the sport.

The UFC’s announcement sent shockwaves through the mixed martial arts community, with fellow fighters and fans expressing condolences across social media as news of his death spread.

Additional details regarding the reported medical emergency, including whether an official cause of death will be released by authorities, were not immediately available.
