HOWARD COUNTY, MD. (THECOUNT) — Dane Thomas Benavidez, of Laurel, Maryland, has been identified as the victim in a Sunday fatal vehicle crash in Howard County.
Benavidez, 32, was killed in a two-vehicle crash involving a semi-tractor in Jessup early Sunday morning.
According to reports, Benavidez was operating a Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck on Route 32 near Washington Boulevard in Jessup, when the vehicle was struck by a Peterbilt big-rig around 3:15 a.m. Sunday.
Benavidez was pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries at the scene.
The driver of the tractor trailer was uninjured in the wreck.
The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
