TOOELE COUNTY, UT. (THECOUNT) — Jayden Davis, Tooele High School student, has been identified as the teenager who fell through the ice and drowned in Tooele County, Utah on Monday.
The body of Davis, 14, was recovered Tuesday from Settlement Canyon Reservoir after he fell through the ice on Monday morning.
According to reports, Davis was with two other teens on the reservoir when he and another teen fell through the ice around 7 a.m. Monday. An 18-year-old was able to get out of the frigid water, while Davis did not resurface.
A police officer and two firefighters responded to the scene and also fell through the ice. All the first responders were rescued and are recovering.
Davis’ body was later pulled from the reservoir where he was pronounced dead of drowning.
