MILLARD COUNTY, UT. (THECOUNT) — Christopher Lunt, of Salt Lake City, Utah, has been identified as the victim in a Saturday drowning at a Millard County hot springs.
Chris Lunt, 29, who according to Facebook worked as a SwimLabs Utah swimming instructor, died in an apparent drowning at Meadow Hot Springs in Kanosh on Saturday night.
According to reports, Lunt was visiting Meadow Hot Springs, aka, Meadow Hot Pots Near Fillmore, Utah, when he was found unresponsive after being underwater for “a number of minutes.”
Millard County Sheriff’s Office and EMS responded to the springs, located in Kanosh, Utah, and attempted life saving measures on Lunt before transporting him to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Officials say the death “appears to be an accidental drowning.”
The cause of the death remains under investigation.
