HAWAII. (THECOUNT) — Lance Kerwin, former child star and teen heartthrob, best known for roles on the coming-of-age TV series “James at 15” and in the Stephen King adaptation “Salem’s Lot,” has died. He was 62.
His daughter, Savanah Kerwin, confirmed the sad news in a Facebook post on Wednesday.

I am so sorry to those we have not been able to reach out to personally to notify but Lance Kerwin passed away yesterday morning. We appreciate all the kind words, memories, and prayers that have been shared. As the coming weeks progress, I will share more information about after life ceremonies. He loved each and every one of you.
Kerwin starred in over 50 move and TV projects including “The Family Holvak,” “Murder She Wrote,” “The New Lassie,” and “Insight,” as well as the made-for-TV movies “Children of Divorce” and “Advice to the Lovelorn,” among many others.
A cause of death was not provided.
