LAUREL COUNTY, KY. (THECOUNT) — Rachel Louise Carder, of Huntington, West Virginia, has been identified as the body found Wednesday following a high-speed police pursuit in Kentucky.
The body of Rae Carder, 53, was discovered inside a vehicle operated by 54-year-old David Reed, of St. Petersburg, Florida.
According to reports, Kentucky police attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle in in Madison County, Kentucky on Wednesday morning. The driver refused to stop and a chase ensued.
When the police chase concluded on I-75 in Laurel County, a subsequent search of Reed’s vehicle revealed the body of Carder.
Reed has been charged with murder-domestic violence, tampering with physical evidence, abuse of a corpse, fleeing or evading police, criminal mischief, wanton endangerment, careless driving, resisting arrest, and having no operator’s license.
The relationship between the pair, if any, was not provided by officials.
