JEFFERSON COUNTY, AL. (THECOUNT) — Thomas Lee Bailey, of Birmingham, Alabama, has been identified as the victim in a fatal vehicle shooting in jefferson County Sunday.
Bailey, 31, was killed after he and an unidentified female were shot in a vehicle in Birmingham early Sunday morning.
According to reports, an off-duty Birmingham police officer heard gunfire near the 100 block of 4th Avenue North around 2:20 a.m. Sunday. The officer found Bailey and an adult female inside a vehicle suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
Bailey was pronounced dead of gunshot injuries at the scene.
The unidentified female passenger was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening gunshot injuries.
No suspect or motive information was provided by officials.
