BOULDER COUNTY, CO. (THECOUNT) — Allan Christensen, and Sharon Christensen, both of Longmont, Colorado, have been identified as the victims in a Monday night double-fatal crash in Boulder County.
Allan, 71 and 69-year-old Sharron, were both killed in a two-vehicle crash that also injured another individual Monday night in Lafayette.
According to reports, Allan was operating a Nissan Altima on U.S. 287 near Dawson Drive in Lafayette, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and into opposing lanes around 5 p.m. Monday. The vehicle then came into contact with a Chevy Silverado.
The couple were pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries at the scene.
The driver of the Chevy Silverado, a 29-year-old man from Lafayette, was transported to an area hospital with serious unknown injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
