RUSSELL COUNTY, AL. (THECOUNT) — Joshua Ramsey Woodard, of Smiths Center, Alabama, has been identified as the victim in a Sunday fatal vehicle crash in Russell County.
Woodward, 28, was killed in a single-vehicle crash outside of Phenix City early Sunday morning.
According to reports, Woodward was operating a Chevrolet Silverado on CR-77, 9 miles west of Phenix City, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle exited the roadway around 2:30 a.m. Sunday. The vehicle then came into contact with a tree and rolled over.
Woodward was pronounced dead of injuries suffered in the wreck.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
