NEW ORLEANS, LA. (THECOUNT) — Comedian, Brandon “Boogie B” Montrell, has been identified as the victim of a fatal shooting outside a New Orleans market in Friday evening.

Montrell, 43, was fatally shot outside Rouses Market in New Orleans Friday evening.

According to reports, police responded to a call of shots fired at the Rouses Market on the 700 block of Baronne Street around 4 p.m. Friday. When they arrived, Montrell was found suffering from apparent multiple gunshot wounds.

Montrell was pronounced dead at the scene of gunshot injuries.

The New Orleans Police Department is seeking the public’s help in locating a person of interest, Dyamonique Smith, and two suspects in connection with a homicide that took place in the Rouses parking lot, reports WGNO.

Homicide detectives have positively identified the male suspects responsible for the homicide. The pictured individuals should be considered armed and dangerous.

Smith is not a wanted suspect, however, detectives believe she may have information vital to the investigation and wish to speak to her.
