MONROE COUNTY, GA. (THECOUNT) — Harold Turner, of Thomaston, Georgia, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Saturday night motorcycle collision involving a suspected DUI driver in Monroe County.
Terry Warren, 76, of Braselton, Georgia, has been identified as the suspected impaired driver arrested following a Saturday night motorcycle-versus-vehicle crash in Culloden.
According to reports, Turner, 59, was operating a Harley Davidson motorcycle on GA-74 near Oxford Road in Culloden, when a Ford F-150 pickup truck operated by Warren, exited the roadway and came into head-on contact with the bike around 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
Turner was pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries at the scene.
Warren was treated at the scene for minor injuries before being transported to the Monroe County Jail.
Warren is charged with failure to maintain lane, driving under the influence and vehicular homicide in the first degree.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
