SMITH COUNTY, TX. (THECOUNT) — Caleb Douglas Roach, of Tyler, Texas, has been identified as the pedestrian fatally struck by a vehicle Tuesday in Smith County.
Roach, 46, was killed after he was struck by a vehicle in Tyler early Tuesday morning.
According to reports, Roach was on-foot in the roadway in the area of 3700 Troup Highway in Tyler, when he was struck by a passing vehicle just after midnight.
Roach was pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries.
Roach was not at a marked intersection or designated crosswalk when he was struck.
The cause of the deadly incident remains under investigation.
