MARION COUNTY, OH. (THECOUNT) — William Allen Simmers, of Prospect, Ohio, has been identified as the victim in a Saturday night fatal utility terrain vehicle crash in Marion County.
Simmers, 48, was killed in a single-vehicle UTV crash in Prospect Saturday night.
According to reports, Simmers was operating a Polaris UTV on Main Street in Prospect, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle exited the roadway around 9:20 p.m. Saturday. The vehicle then came into contact with a tree.
Simmers was pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries at the scene.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
