EAST BATON ROUGE PARISH, LA. (THECOUNT) — Marquita Jackson has been identified as the victim in a fatal vehicle crash Thursday in East Baton Rouge Parish.
Jackson, 38, was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Zachary early Thursday morning.
According to reports, Jackson was operating a vehicle on Tucker Road in Zachary, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle exited the roadway. The vehicle then entered a culvert and rolled over around 1:30 a.m. Thursday.
Jackson was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
A passenger in the vehicle was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
