RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA. (THECOUNT) — Nicholas Almendarez, of Fallbrook, California, has been identified as the victim in a fatal motorcycle crash in Riverside County.
Almendarez, 43, was killed in a single-vehicle motorcycle crash in Temecula Tuesday morning.
According to reports, Almendarez was operating a BMW R1200C motorcycle on Interstate 15 near the Temecula Parkway onramp, when for unknown reasons, the bike abruptly braked and slided sideways before coming into contact with a steel guardrail around 10:15 a.m. Tuesday.
Almendarez was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
