FRANKLIN COUNTY, VT. (THECOUNT) — Jason St. Pierre, of Enosburg Falls, Vermont, has been identified as the victim in a Sunday night fatal vehicle crash involving a cow in Franklin County.
Pierre, 48, was killed in a vehicle-versus-animal collision near Sheldon Sunday night.
According to reports, Pierre was operating a Jaguar C-Class at a high rate of speed on VT-105 near The Abbey Pub and Restaurant in Enosburg, when the vehicle came into contact with a cow in the roadway around 10:50 p.m. Sunday.
St. Pierre and the animal were pronounced dead at the scene.
A 30-year-old passenger, who admitted the vehicle was speeding, suffered unknown injuries.
Officials are seeking the owner of the cow.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
