LAKE COUNTY, IN. (THECOUNT) — Lauren Cap, of Lowell, Indiana, has been identified as the victim in a Saturday morning fatal vehicle crash in Lake County.
Cap, 31, was killed in a two-vehicle crash near Hobart Saturday around midnight.
According to reports, police responded to reports of a two-vehicle crash early Saturday morning on the 7600 block of East Lincoln Highway in Hobart. When they arrived, officers observed two vehicles with heavy damage.
Cap was pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries at the scene.
Possible injuries of the second involved driver were not provided.
The cause of the crash was ruled an accident, according to investigators.
