JAMES CITY COUNTY, VA. (THECOUNT) — Jule Donnis Smith, of Toano, Virginia, has been identified as the victim in a Friday night fatal vehicle-versus-bicycle collision in James City County.
Smith, 52, was killed while riding a bicycle in Toano Friday night.
According to James City County Police, first responders responded to a call of a vehicle crash involving a bicyclist on Richmond Road near Barhamsville Road in Toano around 9 p.m. Friday. When they arrived, Smith was found suffering from injuries suffered after being struck by a Ford pickup truck.
Smith was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision.
No one was cited at the scene.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
