NEW HAVEN COUNTY, CT. (THECOUNT) — Mohammad Kareem Halabi, of Guilford, Connecticut, has been identified as the victim in a fatal motorcycle crash Monday in New Haven County.
“Moe” Halabi, 20, a recent graduate of Guilford High School, died in a single-vehicle motorcycle crash in New Haven Monday afternoon.
According to reports, Halabi was operating a motorcycle on CT-34 near the Interstate 95 Connector, when for unknown reasons, the bike exited the roadway around 2:30 p.m. Monday. The bike then came into contact with a metal beam guardrail.
Halabi was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries.
A 2020 Guilford High School graduate and stand-out member of the school wrestling team, Halabi now attended Gateway Community College studying business administration.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
