ANDROSCOGGIN COUNTY, ME. (THECOUNT) — Holly Woods, of Peru, Maine, has been identified as the victim in a Friday morning fatal vehicle crash in Androscoggin County.
Woods, 59, was killed in a late Friday morning vehicle crash in Tuner. Josh Doughty, 38, of Gorham, Maine, has been identified as the other involved driver.
According to reports, Doughty was asleep at the wheel while operating a vehicle on the 2300 block of Auburn Road in Turner, when he crossed centerlines and came into contact with a vehicle operated by Woods around 11:30 a.m. Friday.
Woods was pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries at the scene.
Doughty was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
