SMITH COUNTY, TX. (THECOUNT) — Marcy Turner, of Tyler, Texas, has been identified as the victim in a Sunday afternoon fatal vehicle crash in Smith County.
Turner, 22, was killed in a single-vehicle rollover crash near Tyler Sunday afternoon.
According to reports, Turner was operating a vehicle on County Road 334 southwest of Winona, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 1:30 p.m. Sunday. The vehicle then entered a south barrow ditch, rolled over and burst into flames.
Turner was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force and thermal injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
