PROVIDENCE COUNTY, RI. (THECOUNT) — Michael Morrissey, of Sharon, Massachusetts, has been identified as the victim in a Saturday afternoon fatal motorcycle crash in Providence County, Rhode Island.
“Mike” Morrissey, 60, was killed in a single-vehicle motorcycle crash in Providence Saturday afternoon.
According to reports, Morrissey was operating a motorcycle on Interstate 95 near Route 195 in Providence, when for unknown reasons, the bike crossed centerlines before making contact with a center median jersey barrier around 2:30 p.m. Saturday.
Morrissey, who was ejected from the bike during the collision, was pronounced dead of blunt force injuries suffered in the wreck.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
