SUFFOLK COUNTY, NY. (THECOUNT) — Gary William Skaats Jr., of East Northport, New York, has been identified as the man killed in a Saturday night fatal motorcycle crash in Suffolk County.
Skaats, 30, was killed in a two-vehicle motorcycle crash in East Northport Saturday.
According to reports, Skaats was operating a Honda motorcycle on Jericho Turnpike near Verleye Avenue, when the bike came into contact with an SUV operated by a 36-year-old resident of Dix Hills.
Skaats was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The SUV driver was not injured in the collision.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
