FRANKLIN COUNTY, MO. (THECOUNT) — Austin Clark, of Union, Missouri, and Chase Clark, of Cedar Hill, Missouri, have been identified as the victims in a Saturday fatal vehicle crash in Franklin County.
Austin, 28, and 24-year-old Chase, were both killed in a single-vehicle crash in Prairie Township early Saturday morning.
According to reports, Chase was operating a Ford Mustang with Austin and Morgan Herrington, 20, of Lonedell, as his passengers on Highway FF near Huff Road near Luebbering, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 1:50 a.m. Saturday. The vehicle then entered a culvert, rolled over and came into contact with a substantial tree.
Herrington was transported to an area hospital after sustaining moderate injuries in the crash.
Both Austin and Chase were pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
