O’BRIEN COUNTY, IA. (THECOUNT) — Mark Stanley Kirkholm, of Storm Lake, Iowa, has been identified as the victim in a Saturday fatal vehicle crash in O’Brien County.
Kirkholm, 66 was killed in a two-vehicle crash near Primghar Saturday afternoon.
According to reports, Kirkholm was operating an SUV on Taft Avenue & 390th Street near Primghar, when pickup driver, 56-year-old Laurie Ann Banks of Sutherland, failed to stop at a posted stop sign and came into contact with the driver side of Kirkholm’s vehicle.
Kirkholm, who was partially ejected during the wreck, was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
Banks was transported to an area hospital in unknown condition.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
