WASHINGTON COUNTY, MN. (THECOUNT) — Michael Schweiger, of Roseville, Minnesota, has been identified as the victim in a Tuesday fatal vehicle crash in Washington County.
Schweiger, 17, was killed in an early Thursday morning single-vehicle crash that also injured two teenage passengers.
According to reports, Schweiger was operating a vehicle on Highway 36 in Lake Elmo, when the vehicle entered a cordoned off construction zone and made contact with a mound of dirt around 3:30 a.m. Thursday. The vehicle then flipped over.
Two teenage passengers, a 16 and 17-year-old, suffered non-life threatening injuries in the wreck.
Schweiger, who was ejected from the vehicle, died of injuries suffered in the crash.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
