OKLAHOMA COUNTY, OK. (THECOUNT) — Edmond Police Department Sergeant Christopher J. Nelson, of Edmond, Oklahoma, has been identified as the victim in a fatal motorcycle collision in Oklahoma County Tuesday.
“CJ” Nelson, 38, was killed in a multi-vehicle motorcycle crash in Edmond late Tuesday afternoon.
According to reports, Nelson was operating a motorcycle on South Broadway near Comfort Drive, when a utility truck, operated by 54-year-old Jay Fite, came into rear-end contact with several vehicle topped at a red light around 3 p.m. Tuesday.
Fite was arrested on of first-degree manslaughter and second-degree murder.
Nelson was killed in the crash.
Other injured individuals if any in the collision were not provided.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
