GLOUCESTER COUNTY, VA. (THECOUNT) — Elle Wrenn Hartley, of Saluda, Virginia, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Tuesday night vehicle crash in Gloucester County.
Hartley, 20, was killed in a single-vehicle crash near Gloucester Tuesday night.
According to reports, Hartley was operating a Kia sedan on Route 17 near Ark Road in Gloucester, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed enterlines and exited the roadway around 5:15 p.m. Tuesday. The vehicle then entered a culvert and rolled over before coming into contact with a substantial tree.
Hartley was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
