BUTLER COUNTY, MO. (THECOUNT) — Johnathon Bryce Thurman, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, has been identified as the victim in a Thursday fatal motorcycle crash in Butler County.
“JT” Thurman, 21, died Thursday following a Wednesday single-vehicle motorcycle crash near Poplar Bluff.
According to reports, Thurman was operating a Royal Enfield motorcycle 7 miles north of Poplar Bluff, when for unknown reasons, the bike crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 6:15 p.m. Wednesday. The bike then overturned before making contact with multiple rocks and a substantial tree.
Thurman was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of injuries suffered in the crash.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
