HUMPHREYS COUNTY, TN. (THECOUNT) — Humphreys County, Tennessee firefighter, Leslie Winchester, was taken into custody Saturday morning over a string of recent Waverly arson fires.
Winchester, whose age was not provided, is accused of setting multiple fires in Waverly beginning on June 13.
Fires were reported at a church, vacant home, the old fire hall, a lodge and Jennifer Furniture and Gifts Store, all in Waverly.
No injuries were reported in any of the fires.
Winchester is being held on $1.5 million bond.
The state issued a five thousand dollar reward last week for information leading to the arrest.
