DURHAM COUNTY, NC. (THECOUNT) — Andrew Justin Miller, of Durham, North Carolina, has been identified as the victim in a Friday night fatal motorcycle crash in Durham County.
Miller, 27, was killed in a two-vehicle motorcycle crash near Durham late Friday night.
According to reports, Miller was operating a Harley Davidson motorcycle on the 3400 block of Hillsborough Road in Durham, when the bike came into contact with a Hyundai Santa Fe, operated by 31-year-old Awalom Okbay Teklehimanot, of Durham, just before midnight Friday.
Teklehimanot was uninjured in the crash.
Miller was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries.
Teklehimanot was charged with driving while impaired, felony death by motor vehicle and failure to yield the right of way.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
