MONMOUTH COUNTY, NJ. (THECOUNT) — Hamilton Smith, of Montclair, New Jersey, has been identified as the fatality in a Monday night wrong-way crash in Monmouth County.
Smith, 29, was killed in a two-vehicle wrong-way crash in Middletown Monday night.
According to reports, Smith was operating a vehicle the wrong-way on the Garden State Parkway near Mile Marker 112, when the vehicle came into head-on contact with a pickup truck around 7:30 p.m. Monday.
The condition of the pickup driver was not provided by officials as of Tuesday.
Smith was killed in the crash.
The cause of th wreck remains under investigation.
