FORT WAYNE, IN. (THECOUNT) — Owen Scheele, a beloved Carroll High School football team member who was battling cancer, has died after undergoing emergency surgery on Monday.
Scheele died after a brief cancer battle.
The young man underwent surgery on Monday to address cranial pressure.
Scheele’s family had been providing updates from Riley Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis, where he had been taken by air ambulance, and late Tuesday afternoon.
