CLINTON COUNTY, IN. (THECOUNT) — Noah Rainey and Dane Northcutt have been identified as the victims in an overnight double-fatal vehicle crash in Clinton County, Indiana.
Rainey, a Carroll County Sheriff’s Department deputy and Jail Deputy Northcutt, were both killed in a single-vehicle crash early Saturday morning in Owen Township.
According to reports, Rainey was operating a Carroll County Sheriff’s Department Dodge Charger on IN-29 near Washington Street in Sedalia, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the rodway around 1:30 a.m. Saturday. The vehicle then came into contact with a utility pole.
Deputy Rainey and his passenger, Jail Deputy Northcutt, were both pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
