SC Woman Natasha Johnson ID’d As Victim In Saturday Piedmont Fatal Jeep Crash

ANDERSON COUNTY, SC. (THECOUNT) — Natasha N. Johnson, of Piedmont, South Carolina, has been identified as the victim in a Saturday morning fatal vehicle crash in Anderson County.

Johnson, 33, was killed following a single-vehicle crash near Piedmont early Saturday morning.

According to reports, Johnson was operating a Jeep Liberty on Anderson Street, aka, Highway 86 in Piedmont, when for unknown reasons, possibly fatigue, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 4 :30 a.m. Saturday. The vehicle then came into contact with a utility pole and rolled over.

Johnson, who was partially ejected from the vehicle during the wreck, was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries. A passenger in the vehicle suffered unknown injuries and was transported to an area hospital.

The Anderson County Office of the Coroner said the driver likely fell asleep at the wheel.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
