ABILENE, TX. (THECOUNT) — Robert Acosta Lucas, of Stamford, Texas, has been identified as the pedestrian in a Monday fatal vehicle strike in Abilene.
Lucas, 34, was killed after he was struck by a vehicle in Abilene on Monday morning.
According to reports, Lucas was on-foot in the area of Winters Freeway near the Ambler Avenue exit ramp, when he was stuck by a Ford F-150 pickup truck around 5:45 a.m. Monday.
Lucas was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The operator of the F-150 truck was not injured during the incident.
No one was cited at the scene.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
