FLUVANNA COUNTY, VA. (THECOUNT) — James L. Ferguson, of Palmyra, Virginia, has been identified as the victim in a Thursday morning bicycle-versus-vehicle collision in Fluvanna County.
Ferguson, 59, was killed in a two-vehicle recumbent bicycle crash near Bremo Bluff Thursday morning.
According to reports, Ferguson was operating a recumbent bicycle on Winnsville Drive near Cabel Lane in Bremo Bluff, when the bike came into contact with a Chevrolet Tahoe around 10:30 a.m. Thursday.
Ferguson was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The driver of the Tahoe was not injured in the crash.
The cause of the crash is being investigated.
