ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, IN. (THECOUNT) — Zackery Grenert, of South Bend, Indiana, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Sunday morning vehicle crash in St. Joseph County.
“Zack” Grenert, 24, was killed in a single-vehicle crash near Granger early Sunday morning.
According to reports, Grenert was operating a vehicle on Bittersweet Road near Cleveland Road in Granger, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around midnight Sunday. The vehicle then made contact with a utility pole.
Grenert was pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries at the scene.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
