STRAFFORD COUNTY, NH. (THECOUNT) — Robert Barney of Rochester, New Hampshire, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Tuesday night vehicle crash in Strafford County.

Barney, 46, was killed in a two-vehicle crash near Rochester late Tuesday night.

According to reports, Barney was operating a Cadillac SRX on Route 202 in Rochester, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and into opposing lanes around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday. The vehicle then came into contact with a Freightliner truck towing a box trailer, operated by Philip Mclain, 56, of South Portland, Maine.

Barney was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.

Mclain was not injured.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
