PAULDING COUNTY, GA. (THECOUNT) — Brian Allan Johns, of Dallas, Georgia, has been identified as the victim stabbed to death by teen, Elijah Nehemiah Harris, Sunday night in Paulding County.
Harris, 17, is accused of fatally stabbing Johns, his landlord, during an argument Sunday night in Dallas, Georgia.
Harris was taken into custody and charged with murder after police say he killed Johns, who rented the basement to Harris and his mother.
According to officials, officers responded to a call of a stabbing in the Dallas subdivision around 10:45 p.m. Sunday night. When officers arrived to Ashbury Ct, 58-year-old Johns was found suffering from multiple stab wounds.
Johns was pronounced dead of stab wound injuries on the scene.
Detectives determined that Johns and the suspect, later identified as Harris, were engaged in an altercation when Harris pulled out a knife and stabbed him several times.
Harris was later arrested and charged with murder and aggravated assault. He is being held in Paulding County Jail without bond.
