BOULDER, CO. (THECOUNT) — Ahmad Al Aliwi Alissa has been identified as the Colorado man facing murder charges Tuesday in the Monday shooting rampage at a Boulder supermarket.

Alissa, 21, opened fire at the King Soopers grocery store in Boulder, Colorado, leaving 10 people dead, including a police officer Monday.

“The Boulder shooting suspect, identified as Ahmad Al Aliwi Alissa, was shot in the leg, [Police Chief] Herold said,” according to USA Today. “He was expected to be released from a hospital Tuesday and then booked into the county jail,” reports say.

“Police have so far offered no detail about the motive for the shooting. Herold said officers were dispatched at 2:40 p.m. upon receiving a call about a potential active shooter in the King Soopers grocery store,” according to Forbes.
