COLUMBIA COUNTY, GA. (THECOUNT) — Police are on the hunt for a man who dressed like a Walmart employee and pilfered almost $3,000 worth of Apple Airpods in Columbia County, Georgia last Tuesday.
The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office released photos of the suspect who they say disguised himself as a Walmart employee and took off with nearly $3,000 worth of pricey earbuds from the retail giant’s Evans supercenter.
Deputies said the unidentified man entered the Walmart at 4469 Washington Road on Tuesday evening wearing an employee vest.
He then proceed to the electronics section, where he used a barrel key to open the Apple products cabinet. It’s unknown where he obtained the key.
He took 15 sets of Apple AirPods valued at almost 3 grand and exited the store without paying.
Anyone with possible information should contact police.
