UNION COUNTY, NJ. (THECOUNT) — Christopher Meikle, of East Orange, New Jersey, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Monday vehicle crash in Union County.
Meikle, 46, was killed in a two-vehicle crash near Clark early Monday.
According to reports, Meikle was operating a vehicle on the Garden State Parkway near Mile Marker 136 in Clark, when the vehicle came into contact with an SUV around 2:40 a.m. Monday.
Meikle was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries.
The 43-year-old SUV driver from Irvington was transported to an area hospital in unknown serious condition.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
